“Confessions” grew from a small seed of wanting to start a conversation around homophobia in society. Section 9 (3) of the constitution might prohibit all discrimination on the bases of sexual orientation but the lived experience of many LGBTQ+ members shows a disparity in the lived experience. We want to send a strong message of hope and love. We strive for acceptance of all no matter who you are.
We want to incite conversation that you can be part of the LGBTQ+ and hold onto your faith. Homophobia is a human feeling created by people. God’s first and most important commandment is “thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself” - Bible
