SEAN HARRISON

Dijan Botha

Dijan graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in 2017.  Since then he has been busy with numerous short films, adverts and making appearances in series like Sara se geheim. 

 

He can be seen in the 2019 Toyota Rav4 advert turning into Ms Universe. As well as heard on Radio Helderberg 93.6 fm.

TAMMY YOUNG

Kirsten Scharneck

Kirsten Scharneck plays the role of the newbie in town, Carla. She hails from the sunny shores of Durban and received her undergraduate degree from Rhodes University, where she majored in Drama, English and Organisational Psychology. Kirsten is currently completing her Honours degree in Live Performance and AFDA Cape Town.

DANIEL BECK

Andre Lombard

André graduated with a BA (Drama) Hons from the University of Pretoria during which time he was awarded the Don Lamprecht Award for best student actor. After finishing his studies he was offered a full-time contract at the then PACOFS where acted in a wide variety of plays, children’s programme and musicals. He received a Vita Award for Best Production: Môre is ‘n Lang Dag and a Dalro award for his role in Somewhere on the Border.

After he completed his military service in the SAAF he returned to freelance acting, appearing in various stage and TV productions and films. He also did dubbing and dubbing translations for the SABC. His voice work during this time included that of Wielie Walie’s “Sarel Seemonster”. 

​

Life’s footpath then led him to the financial industry, where he earned the title of Executive Healthcare Consultant, before moving to Hermanus where he got involved in various development theatre projects; directing, amongst others, Whale Music for the Whale Festival.

​

When he moved to Cape Town, he was asked to teach as a substitute teacher for two weeks at Constantia Waldorf School. He started out with two weeks and stayed for seven years teaching Dramatic Arts and English. 

In October 2013 he returned to acting. Since then he has acted in various plays, local and international TV series, films and short films.

​

Confessions is André’s seventeenth production for AFDA.

EDWARD LAWSON

Shuan Chad Smit

Shaun Chad Smit grew up in South Africa’s capital city, Pretoria, where he studied Musical Theatre at Tshwane University of Technology after graduating high school. He  started his professional acting career in Henry Mylne’s theatre production of 

VASELINETJIE at Aardklop and Woordfees. Soon after, he starred in The Fugard Theatre’s hit musical production of THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW is as Rocky from 2013 to 2015. 

​

Shaun also took the stage again in Terence Makapan’s theatre production of the drama  BENJI, at the NaZonal Art Festival in Makhanda. 

 

A few of his TV/Film credits include; American TV series BLOOD DRIVE (SyFy), BLACK MIRROR (Ne lix), Antenna Pictures’ HOW TO ROB A BANK, ERFSONDES (SABC2), DIE SPREEUS (KykNET), and LUI MAAR OP, BELINDA (KykNET), KLOOF (KykNET). Shaun has been working as a cinematographer, colourist, and film editor for the last few years for various companies, including Afterdark Post Production, Red Blur and Wyrd Films.

 

His first love will always be acting, but taking on different spheres in the film industry has opened up his mind as an actor and creator. “I’m always learning, whether 

it’s in the editing suite, behind the camera or in front of the camera - and I’m loving  every second of it.”

Wiaan Laing

Wiaan Laing is a professional dancer, choreographer and actor. He trained in Pretoria at Dance de Art Dance Centre and has done numerous contracts and various ads. He is a passionate performer with a love for people.
